Gallery talk with Fine Art students

On Sunday, 8 May at 3 p.m., students from the Department of Fine Art at The Iceland Academy of the Arts will talk with guests about their projects at the MA Degree Show of Design and Fine Art. 

Curator Daníel Björnsson and Professor Hulda Stefánsdóttir will participate in the event that takes place in English.

Presenting the rewards of two years of higher education at the Masters level, where designers and visual artists have had a chance to hone their skills and develop research into the relevant fields. Emphasis is on creative and analytical thinking that benefits innovative projects in design and visual art in Iceland.

In the MA Program of Fine Art students are given a platform to enhance and further their knowledge in the field of visual art, with wide ranging integration of the artistic aspects necessary for innovative practice in fine art. The MA Program in Design focuses on pressing contemporary topics, and it is the pronounced objective of the Program to be at the forefront of innovative thought, to change attitudes, and to have positive impact on how people live.
